Gourmet charcuterie gifts: the guide to getting it right

A gourmet gift is the only kind of present you know will get used. And among food gifts, artisan charcuterie has an edge over chocolate or wine: it gets shared at aperitif time, the same day, with the person who gave it. This guide gathers all our charcuterie gift ideas, sorted by budget, personality and occasion, so you can choose in two minutes.

What makes a good gourmet gift

Whole pieces. A whole saucisson is sliced at the table and keeps; a tray of slices ends up at the back of the fridge. Our boxes only contain whole pieces.

Named producers. Handmade saucisson from Auvergne, Chorizo Riojano PGI, Espetec fuet from Catalonia, Serrano as a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (TSG).

A short recipe. Pork, salt, spices, natural casing and time. The white bloom on a saucisson is natural, and even a sign of quality.

Easy storage. Dry-cured, vacuum-packed, with a best-before date on every piece: order two weeks ahead and give it on the day.
