Sweet Chorizo PGI 280g – 100% Natural Spanish Tradition

DESCRIPTION
Four ingredients. Zero compromise.
Pork, paprika, garlic, salt—that's it. No
additives, no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives. Just the honest Spanish recipe, respected for generations in Iberian butcher shops.
Its concentration is rare: 163g of pork for every 100g of finished product.
It's this density, impossible to achieve with industrial recipes, that guarantees exceptional aromatic richness and a firm texture.
Paprika adds depth and color without ever being aggressive—ideal for all palates.
PGI certified by the European Union, slow-dried according to Spanish tradition.
The true chorizo, miles away from the fluorescent orange industrial stuff.
TASTING
To fully appreciate the depth of this mild chorizo, a proper tasting is essential.
1. **Take it out 20 minutes before serving** — Room temperature awakens the paprika
and releases the aromas.
2. **Slice into thin rounds** — 2 to 3 mm, to enjoy the rich
aroma without overpowering the texture.
3. **As an appetizer or in cooking**: plain on olive oil bread, as tapas, or pan-fried to enhance an omelet, pasta, risotto, or homemade pizza.
4. **Wine pairing**: Rioja, Tempranillo, or a refreshing Spanish beer.
Versatile from platter to pan — it bridges the gap between appetizer and main course.
CONSERVATION
Chorizo is easy to store thanks to its natural drying process.
**Before opening:** Store in a cool, dry place, or in the bottom of the refrigerator.
**Once opened:** Wrap the cut end in a clean cloth or food wrap.
Consume within 2 to 3 weeks.
**If a white bloom appears:** This is natural and harmless. Simply wipe the surface clean.

Ideal in the kitchen and for aperitifs Céline R. – Bordeaux
"This mild PGI chorizo has become my secret ingredient in the kitchen. As tapas for an aperitif, in a potato sauté, on a homemade pizza, or in a risotto... it elevates everything! The fact that it's 100% natural and additive-free allows me to use it without a second thought. A real gem at €6.49."
The PGI certification, a real guarantee Pierre G. – Toulouse
"For a long time, I bought 'mild' chorizos in supermarkets that were chorizo in name only. Since I started ordering the mild PGI from SaucBack, I've understood the difference. The certification guarantees an authentic recipe and quality. The taste is deep, the paprika generous, and zero additives to boot. Flawless."
The taste of Spain without the spice Françoise B. – Strasbourg
"My husband can't stand spicy food, and I love Spanish charcuterie — this mild IGP chorizo is our perfect compromise! The paprika provides all the fragrance and characteristic color of chorizo without any heat. Authentic, generous, delivered vacuum-packed in perfect condition. We'll be ordering more!"
Very good, perfect for my tapas Hugo T. Montpellier
"Every Friday night is tapas night at home, and SaucBack mild chorizo has become a staple on my board. Mild but not bland, the paprika really delivers on its promise. 280g disappears very quickly among friends! I would have liked a 500g format for larger gatherings, but that's my only regret."
Four ingredients, amazing results Antoine D. – Lyon
"Pork, paprika, salt, garlic. That's all. And that's precisely why it's so good. No additives, no preservatives, just quality ingredients prepared in the purest Spanish tradition. The taste is straightforward, the paprika very present, the texture perfect. A mild chorizo that's hard to find these days."
Chorizo accessible to the whole family Valérie M. – Nantes
"With children at the table, strong chorizo is always a challenge. Since I discovered SaucBack's mild one, everyone enjoys it! The paprika is generous, the taste is rich and fragrant, without any harshness. And only four ingredients — finally a charcuterie you can give to children without feeling guilty."
Frequently Asked Questions
All about PGI Sweet Chorizo 280g
Does sweet mean bland — or is it really flavorful?
Mild doesn't mean bland. Our PGI mild chorizo gets all its flavor from quality paprika — generous, fragrant, deep — without any fiery heat. The result is a chorizo rich in aromas, with a true Iberian personality, accessible to all palates, even the most delicate. It's often the one that surprises people the most, especially those who expected something ordinary.
What is PGI certification for chorizo?
The PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) chorizo is a strict European certification that guarantees Spanish origin, traditional recipe, and authentic know-how. Defined pork breed, controlled ingredients, authenticated production method. In supermarkets, most chorizos sold have no certification — here, PGI is your guarantee of authenticity.
100% natural — what does that actually mean?
Four ingredients: pork, paprika, salt, garlic. That's it. No preservatives, no acidity regulators, no colorants, no flavor enhancers. What you eat is exactly what's on the label—nothing more, nothing hidden. A rare transparency in the charcuterie industry that immediately translates into the purity of the taste.
Is it child-friendly?
Yes — in fact, it's one of the great strengths of mild chorizo. No spiciness, an accessible and generous flavour, 100% natural ingredients with no additives. Children naturally take to it, often from the very first slice. It's the ideal product to introduce young palates to quality Iberian charcuterie without any unpleasant surprises.
What's the difference from hot chorizo?
The composition is almost identical—pork, paprika, salt, garlic—with the addition of cayenne in the strong version. But this single difference radically changes the taste experience: the mild is round, enveloping, accessible to all. The strong is intense, spicy, tailored for thrill-seekers. On an appetizer platter, both together cater to all palates without exception.
How long does it keep after opening?
Wrap it in parchment paper or a clean tea towel and refrigerate. It can easily be stored for 3 to 4 weeks after opening while maintaining its full texture and paprika flavors. Avoid plastic wrap, which prevents the product from breathing and can alter its aromatic quality.
How to best enjoy it?
Remove from refrigerator 15 to 20 minutes before serving—room temperature will release all the paprika’s aromas and bring out the natural sweetness of the meat. Slice thinly for an appetizer. It pairs perfectly with Manchego, olives, olive oil toasted bread, and a glass of Rioja or Garnacha.
Can it be used in cooking?
Absolutely—and that's where it truly shines in terms of versatility. Sautéed potatoes, homemade pizza, fried eggs, paella, quiche, gourmet burger topping, creamy pasta... The heat enhances the paprika's aromas without ever overpowering delicate palates. It's the secret ingredient that transforms an ordinary dish into something memorable—accessible to the whole family.
Is it gluten-free?
Yes, the IGP Mild Chorizo is naturally gluten-free. Everyone at the table can enjoy it without restriction.
How many people is 280g enough for?
As an appetizer, allow 20 to 25g per person on a platter with other products — a 280g chorizo will comfortably serve 10 to 12 people. For culinary use, 280g is a generous portion for a recipe for 4 to 6 guests. For large gatherings or regular enthusiasts, consider ordering several.
What is the delivery time for my order?
Your order is shipped within 24-48 business hours in insulated packaging to ensure freshness upon receipt. You will receive a tracking email upon shipment.
Our customer service is available 7 days a week. Average response time: 24h
