My holiday ham, every year Nathalie V. – Strasbourg
"For three years, I've been ordering this Serrano Grande Réserve for the end-of-year holidays. It takes pride of place in the center of the table and is admired by all the guests. 6kg boneless, that allows for generous servings for a large table over several days. The PGI certification and 24 months of aging are a guarantee of absolute quality."
An astounding aromatic complexity Henri B. – Biarritz
"Between a 12-month Serrano and this 18-24 month one, it's like comparing a good table wine to a Grand Cru. The extended aging develops incredibly deep aromas — dried fruit, undergrowth, slightly smoky notes. The texture is silky, the slices melt in your mouth. A ham that fully deserves its Grand Reserve status."

Frequently Asked Questions
All about Boneless Serrano Ham PGI Gran Reserva 6kg Cured 18-24 Months
Do you have a question about storage, ingredients, delivery, or tasting? Find all the answers below.
Why is this ham called "Grande Réserve"?
The "Grande Réserve" designation refers to hams that have undergone an exceptionally long curing period — 18 to 24 months, compared to 12 months for a standard Serrano. This additional time profoundly transforms the product: the meat concentrates, the fat permeates the muscle, and the aromas achieve a complexity that a shorter curing process cannot produce. It's the difference between a good table wine and a grand cru.
What exactly do 18 to 24 months of aging bring to the plate?
More aromatic depth—notes of hazelnut, dried fruit, slightly woody. A texture that is both drier and silkier. Melted intramuscular fat that gives that persistent taste in the mouth. And a more intense, almost burgundy red color, which immediately reveals the richness of the product. An 18-24 month Serrano can be recognized at first glance even before the first bite.
What exactly does PGI certification guarantee?
The IGP Serrano is a strict European certification: defined pig breed, controlled geographical area, guaranteed and audited minimum curing time. It is not a marketing appellation — it is a specification controlled by an independent body. You know exactly what you are buying, where it comes from and how it is made.
6kg boneless, how many people is that for?
For an appetizer, count 40 to 50g per person — a 6kg ham easily serves 120 people on an appetizer platter. For a plated starter, 80 to 100g per guest, which is about 60 people. This is the format for big occasions: New Year's Eve, weddings, corporate receptions, or simply ham lovers who want it to last a long time.
The ham is boneless—what does that change for me?
Zero waste, zero complicated techniques. No need for a jamonero stand or special training. You place the block on a board and slice—with a thin knife for elegant chiffonade, or with a slicer for perfect rounds. The deboning is done by the producer with surgical precision to lose none of the meat.
How to store it before and after opening?
Before opening, store in the refrigerator in its vacuum packaging. Once opened, cover the cut surface with film or a clean cloth, then return to the refrigerator. Slice as needed to limit the surface exposed to air. Storage after opening: 3 to 4 weeks without loss of quality.
How to best enjoy it?
Take it out of the refrigerator 30 to 40 minutes before serving — such a refined ham needs time to express all its aromas. Slice thinly, almost transparently. Serve plain on a warm plate, accompanied by a drizzle of olive oil and a few crystals of fleur de sel. A Ribera del Duero or an Amontillado to enhance the whole.
What is the difference with the Serrano 12-14 months?
The same certified PGI, the same careful deboning. The difference lies entirely in the aging: the 12-14 month is round, approachable, ideal for pleasing everyone. The 18-24 month is more intense, more complex, drier — it's a connoisseur's ham that rewards an experienced palate. If the 12-14 month is your everyday, the 18-24 month is your special occasion.
Is this ham gluten-free?
Yes, Grande Réserve Serrano Ham PGI is naturally gluten-free. The whole family can enjoy it without restriction.
Is it suitable for professional or catering use?
Absolutely. The 6kg boneless format is popular with restaurateurs, caterers, and delis. IGP certification is a strong selling point, and the price-quality ratio for 18-24 month aging is hard to beat on the market. Ideal for high-end charcuterie boards in restaurants.
What is the delivery time for my order?
Your order is shipped within 24-48 business hours in insulated packaging to guarantee freshness upon receipt. You will receive a tracking email upon shipment.
Our customer service is available 7 days a week. Average response time: 24h
