Why choose this spicy chorizo
Our clients speak best of us
Bastien R. – Toulouse
"I've always been a fan of strong chorizo, and I've tasted dozens. The SaucBack one is in the absolute top 3. The spiciness is frank, progressive, with the cayenne slowly building without being aggressive. And above all, zero additives - you can tell it's real, five ingredients and that's it. Amazing."
Rodrigo M. – Bordeaux
"As a Spaniard living in France, I'm very particular about chorizo. The PGI certification doesn't lie, and that spicy kick is exactly what I expect from a good, traditional chorizo. The paprika is generous, the cayenne well-balanced. Finally, a strong chorizo that respects the original recipe!"
Émilie D. – Lyon
"What convinced me first was that it's additive-free. You read the labels, and usually it's an endless list of preservatives... Here, five ingredients, period. And the taste lives up to expectations: spicy, fragrant, with a beautiful intense red color. Perfect for an aperitif or with my Sunday fried eggs!"

Spicy Chorizo IGP 280g – 100% Natural Spanish Tradition

DESCRIPTION
Five ingredients. Zero compromise.
Pork, paprika, cayenne, garlic, salt—that's all.
No additives, no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives. The same honest
recipe as the mild chorizo, with that touch of cayenne that changes everything.
Its concentration is rare: 163g of pork per 100g of finished product.
A density that guarantees exceptional aromatic richness, a firm
texture, and powerful flavors. The heat of the cayenne builds gradually, balanced by the paprika: character, never aggression.
PGI certified by the European Union, slow-dried. For thrill-seekers who want as much flavor as spice.
TASTING
To unleash the full power of this spicy chorizo, a proper tasting is essential.
1. **Take it out 20 minutes before** — Room temperature awakens the paprika
and cayenne.
2. **Slice thinly** — 2 to 3 mm, for a gradual and controlled increase in heat.
3. **As an appetizer or in cooking**: plain on olive oil bread, as tapas, or pan-fried to enhance paella, scrambled eggs, pasta, or pizza.
4. **Wine pairing**: Rioja, Tempranillo, Spanish beer — or a refreshing glass of water for the brave.
The ideal companion for platters and recipes with character.
CONSERVATION
Chorizo is easy to store thanks to its natural drying process.
**Before opening:** store in a cool, dry place, or at the bottom of the refrigerator.
**Once opened:** wrap the cut end in a clean cloth or food-grade paper.
Consume within 2 to 3 weeks.
**If a white mold appears:** this is natural and harmless. Simply wipe the surface.

Our clients speak best of us
Excellent, but to be avoided for children! Thomas G. – Clermont-Ferrand
"Great chorizo, really spicy as advertised – next time I'll remember to order the mild one for the kids too! For adults who love strong flavors, it's perfect. The 100% natural and PGI make all the difference taste-wise. Nice texture, beautiful bright red, intense aromas."
My new aperitif addiction Julie B. – Strasbourg
"€6.49 for 280g of 100% natural PGI chorizo, that's a really fair price for such quality. The spiciness is there, very real, but without unnecessary burning — it's pure pleasure. I served it at a dinner party and it was the first to disappear. Already reordered!"
Watch out, he's really strong! Kevin L. – Nantes
"Fair warning to the faint of heart: this spicy chorizo means business. The cayenne is definitely present, not just cosmetic like in many so-called 'hot' chorizos. But that's exactly what I was looking for! On a homemade pizza or as tapas with a glass of Tempranillo, it's absolute bliss."
100% natural, it makes all the difference Émilie D. – Lyon
"What convinced me first was the additive-free aspect. You read the labels and usually it's an endless list of preservatives... Here, five ingredients, period. And the taste lives up to expectations: spicy, fragrant, with a beautiful intense red color. Perfect for an aperitif or in my Sunday fried eggs!"
Chorizo with a kick Rodrigo M. – Bordeaux
"As a Spaniard living in France, I'm very particular about chorizo. The PGI certification doesn't lie, and that spiciness on the palate is exactly what I expect from a good traditional chorizo. The paprika is generous, the cayenne well-measured. Finally, a strong chorizo that respects the original recipe!"
A fire, but a good fire! Bastien R. – Toulouse
"I've always been a fan of spicy chorizo, and I've tried dozens. SaucBack's is in the absolute top 3. The spiciness is distinct, progressive, with the cayenne slowly building without being overpowering. And most importantly, zero additives — you can tell it's the real deal, five ingredients and that's it. Amazing."
Frequently Asked Questions
All about Chorizo Piquant IGP 280g
Is it genuinely hot—or is it "fake spicy" like in a lot of chorizos?
It's really strong. The heat comes from cayenne — a chili in its own right, not an artificial flavor. It builds gradually, settles in the mouth, and lingers after tasting. No brutal aggression, no sterile burn — an honest, straightforward heat that awakens the taste buds without assaulting them. Lovers of strong sensations know the difference.
What is PGI certification for chorizo?
PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) chorizo is a European certification that guarantees its origin, traditional recipe, and Spanish expertise. A PGI chorizo must comply with strict specifications: defined ingredients, controlled production area, and authenticated manufacturing method. In supermarkets, most chorizos sold have no certification — here, it is guaranteed.
100% natural — what does that actually mean?
Five ingredients: pork, paprika, cayenne, salt, garlic. That's all. No preservatives, no acidity regulators, no colorings, no flavor enhancers. What you eat is exactly what's on the label—nothing more, nothing hidden. In an industry that overuses additives, this is a rare stance that directly impacts the taste.
Why paprika AND cayenne?
Paprika provides the aromatic depth, intense red color, and characteristic background sweetness of authentic Spanish chorizo. Cayenne pepper brings the frank spiciness and lingering heat. The two together create a complexity that neither alone can replicate. This is the traditional Spanish recipe—two spices, two distinct roles, one balanced result.
How long does it keep after opening?
Wrap it in parchment paper or a clean tea towel and place it in the refrigerator. It can easily be stored for 3 to 4 weeks after opening while maintaining all its texture and aromas. Avoid plastic wrap, which prevents the product from breathing and can alter the taste of the paprika.
How to best enjoy it?
Remove it from the refrigerator 15 to 20 minutes before serving—room temperature will bring out all the paprika flavors and slightly soften the spice. Slice into thin rounds for an appetizer, or thicker half-moons for cooking. Serve with a glass of red Tempranillo or a cold beer—the beer will temper the heat, while the Tempranillo will pleasantly amplify it.
Can it be used in cooking?
It's even one of its areas of excellence. Heat enhances the flavors of paprika and cayenne: pan-fried potatoes, homemade pizza, fried eggs, paella, revisited pasta all'arrabiata, gourmet burger topping. Be careful, however—cooking intensifies the spiciness. Adjust the amount accordingly if you're cooking for sensitive palates.
Is it suitable for children?
No – this chorizo is really spicy and is not suitable for young children or people sensitive to chili. For a version suitable for the whole family, our Mild Chorizo PGI offers the exact same quality guarantees – certified PGI, 100% natural – with no spice whatsoever.
What is the difference between this hot chorizo and the mild chorizo?
The composition is almost identical: pork, paprika, salt, garlic. The only difference is the addition of cayenne in the hot version. But this difference radically changes the experience: the mild is round, accessible, perfect for everyone. The hot is intense, character-driven, designed for thrill-seekers. On a platter, both together cater to all tastes.
Is it gluten-free?
Yes, Chorizo Piquant PGI is naturally gluten-free. Everyone at the table can enjoy it — provided they appreciate the spice.
What is the delivery time for my order?
Your order is shipped within 24-48 business hours in insulated packaging to guarantee freshness upon receipt. You will receive a tracking email as soon as it is shipped.
